This alert, commonly known as 'Limp Mode', may activate when the vehicle's fuel system is not operating correctly or when its components have experienced failure.

Limp Mode's purpose is to bring the car to a safe location and prevent further harm from occurring, either to the car or its passengers. If a car goes into Limp Mode, it is crucial that it be taken to a certified mechanic as soon as possible, even if the computer appears to have 'reset' itself. Unstable behaviour can still be expected in this mode.
